    Tailgating in the South

    Football season is so close that die-hard Mississippi State University fans can smell the aroma of chicken grilling in The Junction. Hot crab dip being stirred in silver chafing dishes in Ole Miss’ Grove is already in the minds of lifelong Rebels. And the sight of burgers sizzling on Millsaps’ picturesque campus or for Jackson State University fans, outside Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium, is as clear as the thousands of iPhone photos that’ll be shot on game day.

    Back to the outdoors

    If you’re like most Jacksonians, the thing you start to miss the most this time of year is the ability to comfortably spend more than ten minutes outside without having a mild-to-severe heat stroke. Thankfully, the warmest part of the year is over (we hope) and we have nothing to look forward to but cool evenings and calm weather (we pray).
